Domain 2 focuses on 1 key topic of Neurodiversity and mental health which includes:

  • Promoting positive wellbeing for all students and staff including those who are neurodiverse
  • Recognising and responding appropriately to the emotional wellbeing and mental health needs of all children particularly those who are neurodiverse
  • Idenitifying and considering other factors that may adversely impact on the emotional wellbeing and mental health of neurodiverse children.
  • Understanding and supporting staff with the emotional impact of responding to behaviours that challenge.

The following Training workshops support with coverage of these topics which are included in the PINS Lincolnshire Menu of support found on the main page.

Autism Education Trust-  Autism & Anxiety- 2 hours

After completing this module, you will be able to understand:

The impact of high levels of anxiety on autistic pupils.

How our actions can impact a pupil's level of anxiety.

The first step to helping a pupil is to learn about an individual’s triggers and preferred means of support.

How you can prevent and reduce anxiety in autistic pupils by making small adjustments that can make a big difference to their wellbeing.

 

 

WTT Autism and Emotional development 
  • To explore emotional recognition in self and others

  • To understand the steps towards being able to manage emotions effectively. 

  • To explore resources and tools that can help develop emotional regulation

WTT Autism & Masking (an internal presentation of autism)

During this session, attendees will cover:

  • Autism: boys and girls – is there a difference?
  • What masking is not
  • Identify key issues for those with an internal presentation of Autism.
  • To explore adaptations and strategies for support

 

Autism and Eating challenges 
  • Due to be piloted in Spring/summer 2025
  • To have a better understanding of  autism and disordered eating
  • Understand the challenges
  • To identify the impact and how to help
